While Riley and Peyton were here visiting, we decided to take all the kids and go hiking. It was a lot of fun. We went to High Shoals falls right out side of Hiawassee. It was 1.2 miles hike down the mountain to the waterfall. Then it started getting dark and we had to hike the 1.2 miles UP the mountain to get back to the truck. I think it was great for the kids and we got lots of good pictures.Danny, Holly, Peyton, Lily and Lucas getting ready to go!
Thanks, Riley, for taking the pic.

If you notice, Lucas has on swimming goggles...yep...that's right! swimming goggles....
We had just bought them and he loved them so much that he didn't want to ever take them off. He even wore them in the grocery store.
He's a mess!
Danny and Lucas walking out...the hike UP the mountain...and it was getting dark. We kept smelling a bear also...but never saw one....Danny and I kept giving each other "the look"...we were a little worried.
It was a fun trip. I think overall the kids enjoyed it. I was sore for a day or two (which means that I need to do it more). All the kids made it...even Lucas....he walked the whole time.
I hope that good memories were made with them.
It was great!
Happy Hiking!
